During the last week of my digital marketing internship, Marriott Global Food & Beverage ran a contest. It centered around sustainable seafood and how each hotel sourced and cooked their food in responsible ways. All hands were on deck – I was able to storyboard, film, and edit this video in two days.
Out of 50 submissions worldwide, our hotel and video was hand-picked as one of eight winners. In addition, our film was featured on Marriott's Sustainability page and used as a leading example.

Multi-Cultural Summer Wedding Promotion
Montages are some of my favorite types of films to make. What I like most about the process is selecting the best snippets from an eight hour day and still conveying all the emotion and excitement.
This video showcases three different weddings that are often held at the hotel and its many venues: a traditional Thai ceremony, a Western wedding, and an Indian and Middle-Eastern celebration. The main purpose was to show how the space transformed.

My main project during my internship was creating a digital marketing plan for the annual Mid Autumn Festival. While I also made infographics and photographed, the videos were my favorite aspect because I was able to convey the story behind the creation.
This video is my favorite of the mooncake series. I interviewed Chef Oscar Pun, who created the mooncake recipes that year and worked his dream to reality. It was a story told through nostalgia.

When I started this video, I was expecting it to be the simplest out of the bunch. Somewhere along the way, it became a favorite.
Depicting how the chefs made the Classic Salted Egg Yolk Vanilla Custard Mooncake, this particular video was filmed to look cinematic as well as to evoke a sense of motion and excitement. The camera follows the ingredients' and chef's movements, which made it more engaging.

Every year, the hotel created multiple mooncake recipes to advertise during the Mid Autumn Festival. The Longevity Mooncake was a unique one, with 19 different herbs and medicines.
This was the featured mooncake for the Mid-Autumn Festival, so the team wanted to showcase all the work that went into it. I drew inspiration from many Chef's Table and Street Food excerpts since I wanted to create a professional and cinematic feel.

Annual PRISM Reel for 2018
My freshman year, I joined a student-run advertising agency at Virginia Tech, VT PRISM. My job on the Multimedia Team revolved around providing photo and video coverage as well as creating an annual reel. I eventually became Director of Multimedia in junior year.
This reel was a group effort by the Multimedia Team that year. It showcases the organization's different types of work. Although it was a student-run agency, we had real-world clients like Coca-Cola, Smithfield Foods, and the Pamplin College of Business.

Another responsibility for the Multimedia Team was to create the graduation video shown at the Pamplin College of Business' commencement every year.
Each graduation, our team brainstormed, filmed, and produced a unique film capturing the big events during that year as well the experiences that a lot of students went through as a college grad. 2018's video was emotional, reflective, and transformative.

Each year, the concept for the Pamplin College of Business' graduation video had to be unique. Commencement attendees sometimes came to multiple events over the years, so we never wanted to make them feel like they'd already seen something before.
2019's graduation video followed a graduating senior as he reflected on his four years at Virginia Tech. The experiences shown are ones that we felt many students could relate to and ones that we thought others could learn from. See if you can spot my cameo!
